Good news - I've just hopped over to uManiacs site and noticed a new instant build (XviD.Alpha.19.09.2002.1620) incorporating a whole load of fixes and some very necessary copyright updates.

Interesting that you find a lot of fixes.
We're still cleaning up the api and removing unstable code and reorganising it.
I can't see where this fixes anything.

vfw/src/2pass.c (rev.1.8) h:
foxer: external 2-pass - credits quant mode and i-frame boost fixes
See? There is something fixed in there.;) (But something tells me that you already know about this fix)

We sent that patch 3 weeks ago - nice that you can use any build with the stats reader now! :)

UManiac:
Why do you build the non-Dev version?
If people want stable, tested builds, wouldn't they go to Koepi or Nic?
Instant builds, testing the latest features, are what people like from you, IMHO.

This is what uManiac says at the instant builds section:
Here you will find untested builds from the XviD CVS. The source for this build is from the dev-api-3 tree. It's the development tree and can be VERY unstable. Video encoded with this build may not be decodable with later builds of XviD.So, uManiac does build the Dev version.

B-frames are being removed from the development tree?

I think this is the stable version.
one example of the log changes:
" U xvidcore/src/motion/smp_motion_est.c (rev.1.5) edgomez:
- This stable version will not include smp support"
taken from the latest build.

Nah B-frames are still in dev, I just think uManiac's changelog is a bit confused about the branch.

The first line of the changelog reads:
- NOTE Changed to dev-api-3, might have incorrect history in this build.
I used the history information from the wrong branch to make that changelog. I might fix it today if I have a chance. Also, there should have been more builds over the past few days to I'll check that also.
