First of all, I used to monitor another forum but it seemed that I could not get answers to some of my issues. Then the process of encoding and re-encoding seemed a bit too long (sometimes 10 to 11 hours) for me. However, it all worked out well as the end result was what I was after and it worked.
Then somehow I was directed to this forum and I came across the "FULL COPY" process. What a deal!
With that, I made my first attempt in using the FULL COPY process on Devils Advocate. I am now at the point of "putting it all together" using Maestro. The problem I am having is the part where you replace certain Vobs with the ones that have been authored. I have check the AC3 sound and it is fine. The movie part (MV2) is fine also. I included the chapters extracted using Chapter Extractor and decided to leave out the subtitles.
Now when I run it all through Maestro, the finished product leaves me with a movie where the sound is trailing the movie. I went through the process of "replacing/copying" certain vob files with the ones that were on the original DVD as the instructions imply, but it still does not work. I have used several variations on which to copy and leave in versus which not to overwrite...but again, no luck.
When I get back to my PC I will try to post the list of files from the original DVD versus those that were authored hoping that someone could lead me down the right path. In any event, thanks for a much faster method (I just wish I could get this phase down).
