Hi folks,
well, I got CCE 2.50 working fine under XP - thanks for all the help! I'm just wondering now how I can "fit" the movie to the disk and improve the quality. I'm probably not explaining this too well, but here goes... I ripped "Amelie" at ~ 7Gbs. I used DVD2AVI and followed all the steps from the guide. After using CCE, the video file is about 1.5 Gbs! Okay, it still looks pretty good, but there's some artifacting. Seeing as the sound comes in at about 1.2 Gbs, that still leaves a whole lotta space I could use to increase the movie quality. Sorry, if this is a stupid question - I didn't get to sleep til 6 am this morning! Babies are great, but do they have to cry so much?!? Please help,

PnaG.

just set the avg bitrate, or hit advanced and do what the robshot 'getting the best out of CCE' guide says for the 2nd pass, basically the 'gray bitches' are compression artifacts.

Thanks! I'll certainly give it a go. Just hope the wee one doesn't fry my brain tonight like she did last night! Thank you!
