Hi everybody!

There are nine houres of DV i have to cut, so i am searching for ways to make things easier and faster.

When capturing the DV from the DVCam using Microsofts Movie Maker the Software creates Clips that i just need to Drag and Drop into the Timeline. I'd like to have every single Clip as a seperated file. Well, i still need to drop them into the timeline and there are about 50 Clips in one hour of movie. So, a lot of time to "waste" on it. Now i was wondering if there is a software, that automatically cuts the DV into Clips/Scenes.

Is there a software that automatically cuts a DV into Clips/Scenes?

I'd apreciate any help.

Thanks.

Scenalyzer is just what you need, I'm pretty sure the old freeware version can do what you want if you already have the file captured. Scenalyzer Live is even better, it will cut clips up on the fly and send them to different files with timestamping.

Ulead Media Studio can split by scene if you capture with the included tool. You simply open the (long) DV file and select the split option. You'll get all the scenes split in the Timeline; no dragging and dropping. And you don't need to fiddle around with hundreds of small AVIs.
