Monsters Inc. won't go.

I used SmartRipper and copied Monsters Inc. to my hard drive for backup. Whenever I open it with Dvd2Avi, it just sits there, won't preview, won't switch to the higer resolution, or anything. anybody else have this problem or know what causes it?

You don't describe your level of experience with SmartRipper or DVD2AVI... I can think of one reason you might have trouble with any DVD...and this is therefore just a guess:

Be sure you use SmartRipper in "Movie" mode. DVD2AVI needs .vob files that have a single program chain, with a single angle of video. (You can combine multiple progam chains with DVD2AVI, as long as they are in separate .vob files, though that's not needed for movies.)

"Movie" mode will automatically select Angle 1 of the longest program chain.

If I'm off base, then you might first double check your dvd2avi video settings, if that's not it, try a different ripper, such as Vstrip.
