Hi All,

Thanks to all of you for the great info available on this forum.

I am newbie and had authored only a couple of DVDs till now. My friends and I are working on a project to create a School Yearbook on DVD with video of some events etc. The DVD has simple navigation options (by Last Name and then by Aplhabet or by Dept and Alphabet etc).

The actual STILLs are BMPs with the person's photo and details. We wanted it to work similar to Still Shows found on Disney DVDs for viewing the movie art galleries, which works as follows.

Main Menu leads to Sub Menu
Sub Menu leads to Art Galleries Menu
Each Art Gallery starts a Still Show and shows the first Still
Pressing NEXT or PREVIOUS is for navigating within the Gallery
(nothing happens if you press PREVIOUS at the first still or if you press NEXT at the last still in the gallery)
Pressing PLAY during the still show displays the Art Galleries Menu
Pressing MENU during the still show dsiplays the Sub Menu

We want our DVD to work as follows
Main Menu (choice of last name, dept, event videos etc -> sub menus)
Sub Menu (choice of aplhabets -> galleries)
And each aplhabet starts the still show for that group
... and so on

My Problem:
The Menu navigation works fine, but I am not able to achieve the navigation described above for the still show.

Once the still show starts, NEXT & PREVIOUS work as I want.
But pressing PLAY also takes me to the next still instead of the alphabet menu. And pressing PLAY at the last still stops the disc altogether. I am able to get it to go to the Alphabet Menu when PLAY is pressed.

I have been struggling with this for over a week now and I would be very grateful if anyone of you can give me some pointers as to what I might be doing wrong.

Details:-
I am using Scenarist on Windows 2000
On an average each still show has 25 BMPs
And there are about 20 still shows (for 20 last names alphabet)
I have tried importing the BMPs as both STILL SHOW and STILL MENU.
I think STILL MENU is the way to go.

Thanks in advance for replying.

Cheers
