We've all noticed that DVD's have VOB's split at 1GB, but I can't help but be intrigued by the option in both DVD Decrypter and IfoEdit to allow you to create VOB's with no split when ripping/stripping.
So, the question is, why do DVD's have 1GB VOB's? Is it a limit of the DVD filesystem? If it is, why do these programs bother giving you the option of making one huge VOB? If it isn't, are there other compatibility problems that could arise from having a DVD with just your main feature in one 4GB VOB?
