I downloaded this AVI off WinMX the other day, and it WILL NOT open.
Trying in VD gets me a codec not found error, mentioning the fourCC 'NTz0'.
Trying to force a different fourCC results in 0 frames and overall blah.
Any help here? I kind of really need to be able to open this guy.
Thanks,

Be careful ! I hope you made a copy a the AVI before changing cc code ! I once had AVI files I could read on my computer, but I didn't know with which codec. I opened them with the 4cc changer in xvid package, and I got strange 4cc codes (or no 4cc code at all). I changed them, the files became unreadable. I changed them back to their previous value, but none was readable again ! I may be wrong but I think 4cc codes have only to do with DivX.

Nope, I didn't change it explicitly, just opening a chunk in VD with the 'force codec fourCC' option enabled.
All the popular MPEG-4 fourCCs didn't work, so I'm at a loss now.

Are you sure this isnt a fake? I never heard about that FourCC.
On the other hand are you sure its not a wrongly named mpeg or ogm?
Cheers
