Hi WEF-
you can trust him blindly!
More like the blind leading the blind, I think.:) But thanks, WEF. I sure wish you'd visit us more often, though.

I just thought I'd bump this up again, because quite frankly our dear manono is too modest - he deserves to be showered with appreciation up to the point of the extra traffic caused stresses the board ;)
Seriously though, I don't hang here much at all anymore - hell, I might even be turning into a troll at this place looking at my last 50 posts ... Sorry :-\ . Bringing the level down and all that ... Warning, sappiness/touchy-feelie follows:
I just wanted to say that I have learnt an immense amount from reading manono's posts to myself and others. I can't really say enough about how damn nice this guy has been to me and everyone else ( even movmasty, lol ) - and he's also exceptionally knowledgeable about video and audio related issues. Man, if I was _really_ loaded I'd pay to fly you out here and have you as my personal backup consultant so I could really pick your brains - everyone else can fight over theWef :) ( no, not really ... actually I'd steal both of you, everyone else can fight over doom9 - yes, of course you can bring your immediate families and partners... no wait on ... ;) ).
If there's any "backup newbies" reading this - quite seriously you can learn a hell of a lot by just searching for the subject you're after and only reading manono's posts - of course there's plenty of quality posts by others as well, don't get me wrong. You did read the guides first right and the search button ? ;) Anyhoo, there are some classic threads around with posts by manono that explain concepts such as deinterlacing better than anywhere ( for me anyhow ). You can avoid a lot of opinions and even blatant untruth's spread by some people, whether intentionally or not, by doing this. He's like totally up with it and also unafraid to claim a lack of knowledge in the rare cases where his expertise doesn't allow him to answer completely - sure sign of integrity really. I'd trust him as far as I could throw him. No wait, it would be a hell of a lot more than that actually ;) .
Of course he's just one member of a great team of really cool people that contribute(d) a great deal to the forum and the whole scene - your all appreciated by everyone whatever you do/did. I'm really eternally grateful for all the great support, friends, apps and "blood, sweat'n'tears" that make our "art" what is has become. Everyone is losing out a bit through petty differences between people sometimes ( talking scene-wise, generally ) - but I just hope you know you're all highly appreciated anyways, by anyone that has any idea anyway. manono is just one of many - but he's a pretty special case imho. Dude, you have probably taught me more than anybody, maybe aside from the great leader ( ... Doom9, you needed to ask ? ) on DVD backup and related things and your personality shines through in your posts - you're always so nice, heheh. I'm in-debted to you more than I can say really - your great ;).
Everyone be nice to him, you won't find many better than our dear manono for a helping hand, sound advice and interesting opinions. You'll be sorely missed when you finally decide to step down from modding and probably remembered as one of the really "great" mods forever - and you earned that rep before you even became a mod as well btw.
Ok, I'll shut up now, heheh. Yeah, yeah, many late nights, abuse of the body and all that, means this post probably sounds terribly ... er, butt-kissing like, fanboyish and sappy, perhaps overly emotional, even not making much sense maybe ... really though, I meant every word if you understand me though ;)
Quite possibly the most wretched post I have done yet, haha sorry ... I don't _think_ I'll regret posting it later when I'm back to, er, normal - at the moment anyhow, heheheh. Just wanted to let you know that you really are appreciated anyways and ... well, I could go on but maybe that's enough ;) .

Meant it all. It's "later" and that doesn't seem too bad ... pity I took three hours to write it :D
Could be summed up in one word though: .o0-THANKS!!-0o.
Don't get me started on the theWEF fanboy letters - at least not until next weekend maybe ;)
