This is the weirdest thing i have ever seen. I have done pleenty of encodings (34 movies in my collection to be exact) but i have never seen anything like this. I am trying to convert X-Men R1 into DivX 5.02. After opening up files in DVD2AVI i notice that the Video Type swithces to from FILM TO NTSC when you get to Vob Cell ID 9 but the first 8 cells are Pure FILM content. At Vob Cell ID 10 the type switches back to FILM and stays that way for the rest of the movie. How do I go about this situation? I really don't want to Deinterlace the entire movie. Please help.

Turn off forced film and then use Telcide().Decimate(). Only the 30fps portions will be deinterlaced. You'll decimate the 30fps part of course, which may or may not be noticeable depending on the content. An alternative is to leave the whole movie at 30fps as described for Decimate(mode=1) in the help file.

I came up with another way before you sent a reply. I ripped the DVD using SmartRipper separating the files by VOB-Cell ID. Then I created 3 different D2V projects. One for the cells 1-8 using Force Film, one for Cell 9 with Force Film turned Off, and the last one for the rest of the movie. After that I created 3 DivX movies and then just put them back together into one. The quality is great.
