i read many things now, and in the end, i'm completly confused.
which IS the more important value ?
the %-value or the bits/pixel ... -value?

is it more important to stay near 0.22 and do not care about the %-value,
or better stay around 75% and do not care about bis/pixel.

could anyone please tell me.

as has been discussed here many times before:
Use b/p*f as an estimate prior to your initial compressibility test Ignore b/p*f and use the loading factor(s) from your intial or subsequent tests
so, just ignore the %-value?

No, it's the %-value you should care for, the b/p*f can be ignored after a comp. check.

so, this means,

1. get a b/p*f value around 0.22 (for 2 cd)
2. make comp check
3. get around 75%
???

or is there a step between 2 and 3 where you try to reach the b/p*f value, the comp check gave you, but still stay around 60-80% ?

No, there is no such step. However, there aren't any specific rules to this. You mention the number 75%. I would never go down to a resolution like for instance 416 x XXX just to increase the compressability. Instead I would probably be satisfied with using 512 x XXX or 576 x XXX, even though the comp. value perhaps would be ~50 %.

This whole compressability check and which resolution you choose isn't that extremely important. As long as you keep all the values within reason, it doesn't make that huge difference IMHO.
