huge prob with pioneer 104

Hi to all I am trying to burn a dvd which was authored by maestro.I am running win xp pro and the media is for general use.The problem is when using nero it gets to about 50% in then I get an error message stating pioneer communication failure whats happining?I have set this drive as the master and have nothing else running in the background.Please help as I feel like chucking it all in.:mad:

1 winXP is a pile of Pooh for burning
2 i accuse u of using cheap media

pioneer firmware has a problem with DMA and winXP
u have to use PIO mode4 or install apsi layer drivers

pioneer 104 will not work properly with princo, bulkcrap
and the like, ITS VERY PICKY, pay for decent media.
datasafe dvd-rw is perfect costs 89p and works every time!

some people are lucky and winXP works with their Pioneers
most are not. I returned all 4 of my pcs to winME mainly
because of burning and DVD reading problems. All the silly
problems went away instantly.
