I am having trouble transcoding some movies (i.e. ROYAL TENEBAUMS, ARISTOCATS...etc). The problem is the picture when remuxed with IFOEdit plays back jittery and looks like crap. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to correct this??? (I am not a novice at cracking DVD's but I can't seem to get around this problem).

you need to be more specific about what encoding app your using and your settings

try a search on remuxing and Ifoedit, u will realise that Ifoedit can not yet remux back video streams from CCE. As for ReMpeg u have to use ver 0.6
All the knowledge is in Ifoedit forum.

I gave up trying to remux with IFOEdit and got DVDMaestro. IFOEdits a great program but alot of titles would become jittery. Meastro and CCE work great together.

What I use to transcode my movies is ReMpeg2 v 1.5.2 (attached photo shows settings used) and IFOEdit v 0.932. These apps work great about 97% of the time.

After spending all day trying new tools and techniques, I found the perfect combination to remux any troublesome DVD:
STEP 1) DVD2AVI (only IFO & VOB files were left from using SmartRipper - I erased the .d2v file...dooh). This created the .d2v file I needed, otherwise skip this step if you have used SmartRipper to Rip your DVD.
STEP 2) TMPGEnc This was used to transcode & create a .mpg file.
STEP 3) MyDVD This was used to author the DVD (I created my own chapters since they are gone at this point).
STEP 4) I use IFOEdit to strip out the menu VOB and create the final DVD file structure without the menu.
Although ReMPEG2 does work 98% of the time, this method will work but takes a little longer in the end to do.
