View Full Version : Intra DC precision in CCE 2.64.01.10

I'm using CCE 2.64.01.10 (was getting freezing problems with 2.5, re-introduction of avs support was very timely :D).

The guide(s) say to set intra dc precision to auto, but in this version the only options are 8, 9 and 10.

I presume leaving it at the default setting of 10 is fine?

Thanks :)

all you need is a program called bitrate viewer, run the program and point it at your movie file you want to encode and press read, let it read the file for about twenty seconds so it can get a good idea of the settings, then press read again to stop the program and it will give you all the file info you need, including what dct setting you need...hope this helps you out dude.;)

Thanks, this did help me out...a lot ;)

I actually already had the program (use it for determining whether to check "upper field first", etc) but didn't even realise the intra dc number was in there...

Thanks again :)

You're saying this version of CCE allows direct .avs files to be used?

Someone else tested this and reported to me that it didn't work. Did you do anything special? Do you have any guidelines/tips?

Thanks

Well the earlier verison of 2.64 doesn't work but this precise build does :)

Only thing is that with VBR it'll stop after the vaf is created. You can click continue, but then it'll stop after the next pass (and of course you can't pick up where you left off with that).

But there's a workaround posted in the CCE forum somewhere.

After setting everything up (checkboxes etc):

1) Double click on the item that has AVS
2) Click on 'Input files'->Settings button
3) Select input AVS and DELETE
4) right click and ADD the same AVS file again
5) OK
6) OK
7) Save ECL

Works great then ;)

BTW if you need any more help in regard to this, feel free to send me a PM ;);)
