hi,

DVD2AVI is an incredible program, i would like to suggest that you save a whole lot of us an extra step in the creation of dvd authoring, by making DVD2AVI produce AC3 files that have already been delay-adjusted...it would be great if the AC3 files that DVD2AVI produced actually synced up with the video...if you know how much the AC3 is out of sync by listing this in the AC3 title name surely it would be something you could just perform on the file instead?

is this something thats fairly easy and quick to apply to DVD2AVI?

Kind regards,
blackout.

Since I last worked on DVD2AVI there are a couple of utilities that have appeared could be incorporated. There is an AC3delay program that puts the delay into the file and there is also a ac32wav program that puts riff headers on them, allowing them to be opened (at least for direct stream copy) in the normal versions of Virtualdub as if they were wav files. Source is available for ac32wav, I'm not sure about ac3delay.

I'm not currently working on this but I at least think about it once in awhile. ;)

Maybe someone can pick this up.

yeah, AC3 Corrector is the program that needs to be incorporated...
