i'm at a loss here, for some reason the playa starts doesn't give a missing codec error, gobbels up all my memory and just shuts down

i reported the error at divx.com once before this time I took some screen shots and reported it again. not that i'm expecting to much but it's worth a shot i guess...

anyway i took some screen shots

here you can see as good as all my memory is being used by it
mind you it's after i added about a gig after i got a msg that i was out of virtual memory

in that one you can see drwatson comming to aid basicaly comming to close the playa...
and the huge amount of memory that the playa is using
mind you the amount grew and fast...

as i stated on top i'm at a loss here
wmp play's it without a problem as does realone
though it looks like hell if i use them

anyone see a solution to the problem? any help would be greatly apreciated

Er, i don't have much advice but u can try to uninst. the 2k Sp3 cuz i and some friends o'mine had major crashing issues after installing sp3.
All was fine after a good ol'hd format and sp3 re-inst.

Dunno if it can helps...i'm aware that formatting is a bit heavy but it gives the best results with sp probes...

A+

BeNBeN thank you for mentioning that.

i forgot to state that i had the same problem using sp 1
basicaly right after a format.
to me that takes the blame away from sp3.

now i tried to divxfix the file resulting in plain video but no audio
still not usabel in theplaya.

anyway exams are almost over then it's formating time again i suppose
