I know people are having problems. Any clue if this is ever gonna be fixed? Of course I ASSUME it will eventually when there is time, but I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything.

I had a problem when spliting my dvd into 2 under windows XP Pro (program crashed) But what I found was that if I use the windows XP compatibility feature when using IFOedit, it splits the dvd with no program crashes. Only problem is that if I leave it in compatibility mode and try to play the dvd using IFOedit then the program will also crash. (plays just fine when not using compatibility). Maybe this can help someone

I am running XP Pro flawlessly with one exception though. I have never been able to use the Play DVD button to find out what title sets have been played. It gives me cannot play DVD; improper codec or something. I am able to play with other Software DVD Players though. Anyone else ever have this problem or maybe a solution?
I always just rip and backup the movie files. I have been able to back-up 28 or so DVDs now.
1. Smart Ripper -> Files
2. IFOEdit -> Strip Streams / Correct VTS Pointers
3. (IF to large for DVD-5, then rempeg)
4. Instant CD/DVD
This back-up system has never failed me yet.
