The first time I loaded my .avs file into CCE, it worked. Now when I try it, CCE hangs for a minute or two and then closes. I did some reserch, someone suggested the .d2v file, but that works in TMPGE. I can open the file Windows Media Player, although it does say "Unrecognized exception! ((c:\video_ts\movie.avs, line 2). Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you post the solution or your mistake ...
If we all would do that there would be only one answer to a problem: problem solved ... but how, thats of common interest !
But I can show up your mistake (if you don't want):
Don't load avs in the avs script (your line 2, "perpetuum mobile"), load avi or d2v or whatsoever ... ;) ;) :D

Whenever I've had CCE crash on me after opening an .AVS its always been due to a typo of some sort, usually in the file pathing.

I have noticed that in CCE, the error message doesn't appear (CCE simply crashes) ..
Little tip : After having create my avs script, I open it with VDub, and look if everything's okay ... VDub seems to have a catch error and it can tell you the error message and the line.. so it helps a lot!
