Rule #1
1) Read up before asking! There are tons of guides, FAQs and each forum has a dedicated Q&A thread with additional info.

This has been discussed on this forum many times before. Just look.

Step 0: First time setup

You will only have to perform this step once.

Run the GordianKnot Installer package, then run the GKnot latest update installer. then last but not least unpack lame.exe from the zipfile to your GKnot installation directory (normally c:\program files\gordian knot).

Then also install one of the DivX5 codecs.

The above is from the gnot guide. I think you problem is prob that you have not installed divx correctly.

Hi-

i installed divx correctly whats so difficult about that?.

Take it easy-we're trying to help. More than one person's problem has been solved by reinstalling GKnot in the correct order. Have you run the .avs in the Preview, or opened it in VDub to make sure it's not the problem? Maybe post the .avs as well (without the lines beginning with "#").

Manono wrote, but I will reiterate:...in the correct order... Absolutely. GKnot installs DivX 4. If you install DivX5 before Gknot, you will overlay DivX5 files with DivX4 files and have problems such as the one you describe.
