View Full Version : CCE in DVD2SVCD Nuisance

This isn't really a problem per se, but it really is a nuisance. If I pull a type 2 avi into dvd2svcd (usually generated by Studio 7)I have one problem all the time and another problem about 1/2 the time. If I am ripping a dvd everything is great, only in avi2svcd.

Problem #1 - (happens everytime) - audio process fine and cce starts. CCE starts to write the first script file and after the script name scrolls in the filename window, cce hangs. If I close everything out and restart dvd2svcd and select recover from encoding, cce acts fine (writes all scripts everything finished fine). The dvd2svcd log doesn't have anything in it after the audio entries concerning the cce crash - simply states that I recovered. Isn't a big problem but is a pain in the butt.

Problem #2 - (happens about 50% of the time) - besweet sits at the initialization statement for about a minute then says transcoding and runs very slow (about 20/seconds real time per 1 second video time). Still haven't found a solutio to this one. I will post the besweet log when I get home.

Any ideas?

Is it just these files generated by Studio 7 that pose the problems? Try downloading a small AVI from somewhere and convert it, post back the results. If it is just those particular files, it could be a problem with said software.
