Chaps,

I want to use VobEdit 0.5 to change the actions on some of the menu buttons. I know which values to edit and which vob file to open, however, when I edit a button value (i.e. which button to jump to if the down arrow is pressed) and click ok and then go back to the button values again the button has reverted back to it's original value. How do I save the new values, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

You don't need to save! You even can't.
As soon as you edit something, and click 'OK', it gets saved imidiatly to the VOB file.

But tell me, did you selected a different LBA first, in the left view of VobEdit? Cause first then, the new values will be displayed.

Hi Derrow,

Here is exactly what I did :-

1. load Vob Edit v.05

2. click 'open' and select 'VTS_02_0.VOB' which is the menu VOB

3. I now have a list in the LBA window on the left and the right hand
window is empty.

4. I tick the 'button' checkbox.

5. I then highlite LBA 000000 [Navigation Pack] [VOB: 1] [CELL: 1] ..

6. as soon as I do this the right hand window displays the button
info that i want to edit.

7. in the right hand window I go down to Byte '[00cd] Button 2' and
double click which gives me the button properties.

8. I then go to the 'Select Button no. On' and change the 'down'
value from 3 to 1 and click OK.

9. To check if it made the change OK I go back in to look at the
value and it is still 3 but it should say 1.

10. So I change it to 1 again, click OK and exit Vob Edit, then I reload Vob Edit along with the menu VOB and the value is still 3 and not 1 like it should be.

Can you shed any light on what I am doing wrong.

Thanks.

wups, wait a second.
Just tried the same and it didn't work for me too.
I'm checking....

Indeed, it seems, I've forogt to implement the writing function.
Strange.
I'll update it tonight.
