They are so different from DVD-video that current tools are useless. About the only thing in common is UDF (the file system)

DVD audio uses a superior encryption scheme which has not been cracked yet..

are there any sites dedicated to the copying/ cracking of dvd-audios yet? if so please tell me a couple of links as my searches have been as yet unsuccessful. also surely the release of software such as diskwelder will give people a look at how dvd-audios are made and hence how to crack them.

By crack, Doom9 meant cryptographically. The crypto method is known, and it is more secure than 256-bit PKE (Public Key Encryption) - you'd have more luck trying to intercept and decrypt NSA messages.

yeah, unless someone decides to release a SW player for PC, your only option is to buy electron microscope and reverse-engineer the chips in players :)
