How to make VCD - Internet and VCD - Rom

Hello,


There is mention of VCD-Rom and VCD-Internet in a NLE book that I'm reading, but it does not explain how to create one.

Does any one know what app I can use to make a VCD-Internet or
VCD-Rom? I have no problem making a VCD compliant MPEG, just don't know where to start on making the above.


Please give me any information that you think will be helpful.

I've never heard of that. I know http authoring is possible in SVCD. If you can use SVCD instead then look into getting I-Author as its the only program I know that supports this. Its actually not hard to do I'm just not sure how useful it is. I duplicated some of the DVD-EXTRA content on my SVCD and it actually worked pretty well but it wasn't worth the extra work.

I'm trying to make a cd that will play on standalone DVD players (ones that can play VCD) PC and possibly Mac. I know that is asking for a lot. Having links to my soon to be made website would be an added bonus. The material on the Cd will be videos of my own creation not a DVD backup.

IF anyone can offer any advice on how to achieve these goals, PLEASE let me know. Thanks for all the help

oh! I would also like to avoid having the user have to install costly DVD software. thanks
