Hi all, just new to this forum and i have just ripped Lord Of The Rings. I used Rempeg and after i encoded it i remuxed it using Ifoedit, but i found that after i remuxed it that the vobs/film jumped and jerked on my pc and my stand alone dvd player. I have tryed Ifoedit v.6, v8, v9 and v.932 all with the same result. I tryed different settings using rempeg and Ifoedit just incase, but the same thing happens. The funny thing is that the rempeg file i did (IE: LORD.M2V) plays fine before i remux it, but after i remux it, it jerks etc. Can you help me. I have done a number of other films and i never had this problem using the same method. I have 2 PC's AMD 1 ghz with duel boot (win xp and win 98) and a Pentium4 2.5ghz win xp, I have tryed both computers with there different operating systems, but i keep getting the same result. If you have ripped lord of rings using the same method please get in touch.

Thx

Wizball

only thing i can suggest is since your m2v file plays ok and it only seems to jerk after u remux with ifo edit u might need to just extract the ac3 file from the vob and remux the m2v and ac3 with an authoring program like spruce up or something (spruce up is REALLY simple to use!)

just a suggestion

Thx eatinsammiches, Im hoping to get spruce up sometime soon in the next week (fingers crossed). If not do you know were i can download it. Also will spruce up let me remux back the same way as ifedit, (IE: Allow me to keep the menus and subtiles etc). Thx again.

I used TRILIGHT's excellent DVD-9 TO DVD-5 guide and didn't have a problem with LOTR. I've also done it with REMPEG and encountered no difficulties.

Thx again eatinsammiches, I got 'spruce up' and used it to remux the m2v and ac2 file etc and it works fine for me now :). So in the end I got a good working copy.

Thx for the help.
