b/p*f is only an estimate. Use it to adjust your resolution before you run your first compressability test. Once you've run that test, you may safely ignore b/p*f.

Adjust you resolution and run the comp test until you get between 60 and 75% (these seem to work best for me).

But my work in FILM "Saving Private Ryan"
544X304 in 2 CDS bit/pixel*frame 0.256 Compressibity Test 34,6 (RED) of 0,739
Im enconding film but im personal not liked well !

or im using !

Second
384X208 in 2 CDS bit/pixel*frame 0.530 Compressibity Test 71,7 of 0.739 but resolution is little ?

Im set first Compressibity Test (ignore bit/pixel*frame) equal "at stay around second valeu of Compressibity Test" ! ignore resolution ? with second expemple !

other case
CONAIR FILM

576X240 in 1 CDS bit/pixel*frame 0.214 Compressibity Test 46.0 of 0,465 correet ?

I've never done Saving Private Ryan myself, but from what I've heard it's a hard hard movie to compress. Nevertheless, those compressability values seems very low at those resolutions you mention. Perhaps SPR is a movie that's preferable at 3 CD's... are you sure you did the compressability test correct? Did you for instance make sure B-frames was used? Otherwise, go to the optionstab and select it before you do comp. tests.

Go to the options-tab and make sure "Use DivX 5 Pro Features" and "B-frames" are selected. If they are both selected they will be used in the comp. test.
