Anyone have problems ripping Resident Evil? Smartripper couldnt find the Key, for the last VOB file (last 20 secs of movie, plus credits). I ended up having to use the other ripper included in gknot, which is kind of a PAIN but it works great.
So far it's been the only movie that has EVER given me problems, and no, the DVD was in perfect condition.
I'm thinking it was some weird fluke, but then again sony could be trying stuff too.
BTW, the Movie came out great, I ended up making a 2cd version and muxed the AC3 track too.

If you are using gnot for the process, why do you say that using the included ripper a pain to use? Just wondering. Glad you succeeded.

Out of curiosity, is there a "guide" to learn the process of v-strip, the "other" ripper in the g-knot package? I mean smartripper so far is great, but just to learn how to rip with the other would be great also. I actually tried v-strip and ended up with one big huge 5-gig vob file, lol. I guess it some how combined all the vobs into one.

I had no problem using the version of Smartripper in gnot for Resident Evil. Maybe it was just someting with that dvd, even though it "looked" like it was in perfect condition.

I just had a problem ripping In The Bedroom w/smart ripper first time it failed me. Tried dvd decrytor no luck. Tried vstrip for the first time (HAD TO USE GUIDE) and it worked no problem. As to the one large vob you need to split file at 1024mb.
