View Full Version : How to make a Menu Item Inactive.

After striping some stuff from a DVD and keeping the original menu,
some menu itens become dead links, (cause the destination material was
removed), but the menu item is active (when pointed it's highlight),
and some times if it's pressed cause an illegal operation.
Then I ask: How to make a menu item inactive ( it is not highlight
when pointed)?
Can IFOEDIT help in this task?
And the main important. Where are these program lines in the DVD structure?
Thanks

Use the new VobEdit 0.5
You need to modify the button information in the Navigations packets in the Menu-vob file.
When I'll get some time left, I'll write a guide, how to do it.

Hmm interesting could you modify VobEdit so there is a way to just show the navigation packs.

But I'll try to do something about it.

Derrow,
I don't know how to express gratitude for your attention.
I'm very anxious to read the new guide.
I'm thinking it's very usefull to incorporate a feature
to do this. (like: select and press a button) in the
news IFOEDIT versions. "just a speculation"
Thank you very much.

I also think that this would be a great function but I would settle for a guide on how to do this. I have had some DVD's recently that have had bad navigation commands. Basically the start up logo appears then the DVD stops. The only way I could figure out of getting a working film was to IFOedit the movie and strip the menu's etc.
I fiddled around for ages in the VIDEO_TS.ifo with pre and post commands but could not figure out how it works.
I guide would suffice for me just detailing how the video information is referenced at startup and though menu buttons.
A simple description with some examples would be enough for me.
Regards,
Drafty ( BTW cool program )

In editting Nav Packs does anyone know how to make the changes across all Nav Packs instead of the one you edit in one VOBId for those large Menu VOBs that contain animated menus?
