Umm, what software did you use to burn it?
Did you create an image before burning, or did you drag/drop the folders?
Can your standalone actually read dvd-r's?

will the disc load in your computer? can you use ifoedit to navigate to the ifo files and play the dvd that way?

Hello,
didnīt you forget to get vts sectors?
If no, did you changed the dvd media?

gooki asked good question which was not answered.
Did you create a disc image then try and play it ?
Ifoedit will do this for you.
There can't be that much wrong with your file structure if you can play the movie via DVDplayer.
This little trick has worked for me in the past.

Hi, first post here :) But a loong time lurker.
I have had the exact same problem with Vanilla Sky. I traced it back to ONE thing, I simply overwrote a NFO file when adding the extras on the first disc.
Basically, I should never overwrite anything that IfoEdit creates.
One file, made my standalone NOT play it properly, but in Ifoedit its 100% ok.
Just a thought :)

i had the problem, playback from harddrive fine using ifoedit dvd player but the burnt discs wouldn't play. Made 3 coasters before i hit on something that worked. I made a disc image first then used the INSTANT VIDEO option to make a udf video disc from the image. It worked.
