when i run the compressibility check, it does not fill in the Bits/(Pixel*Frame) for me, and if i follow the guide for Divx 5, and i want to make a 705Mb movie, they always come out at around 295Mb. Anything that i could be doing wrong, i know that's vague, but im here to learn :)

Normally this is caused by divx 5.02 not being installed or installed inproperly. If doesn't come with the gnot package but has to be installed seperately. Either download it and install it or if you already have it installed, remove it and reinstall it again. This should solve your problem.

you must deinstall Divx 4 before you install Divx 5, because gknot get probs when you install Divx 5 when Divx 4 ist also installed.
You need to deinstall Divx 4 and 5, and then install Divx 5 again and your Comp.Check works.

I've never heard of this before. I have had divx 4 installed on my computer and installed divx 5 over it, everything in gnot works fine. I realize the latest version of gnot is only wrote for divx 3 and divx 5. Divx 4 and divx 5 cannot be installed at the same time (without some registry tweaking). Divx 5 overwrites divx 4 when you install normally. Maybe its safer to take 4 off but its never presented a problem to me. Guess I was lucky.
