i did an xvid encode of star wars ep.1 (pal reg.2) using dvd2avi - avisynth - virtualdub - xvid; watching the final avi file i noticed the hue was not "natural", therefore i compared:
- the d2v file in gordian knot preview vs the avs in vdub;
- the avs in vdub vs the final avi in vdub.
you can see the stills in the attached zip.
if this test method is correct, the hue alteration seems to be due to avisynth (vers. 2.0.4 was used, but there's the same problem with the 1.0.6); the avs script is in the zip too.
i'm sure i'm doing something wrong, because i'm a newbie, but what?
thank you for the help

As far as I see the wrong colors are the preview in GKnot.
There is nothing wrong with your script nor are there any known errors in AviSynth.
Why do you assume the gknot preview is the correct one?

Were those screenshots taken on a laptop / flat panel?
