Best capturing software for ATI rage 128 AIW?

I've been using ati's mmc tv program to capture vhs and tv but for some reason it squashes everything i record to a 16.9 AR :( Anyone know how to fix it?

If not what other programs do you recommend trying? Ive been trying to use digital vcr but its not working properly as im capturing from a tv in instead of s-video. I tried the auto tuner option but it doesnt do anything...

I would ditch ATI's software. Never had good results with that. For all my video captures, I use AVI_IO along with VfW drivers with the AIW 128 Pro card. I usually capture using Huffyuv and then encode the resulting AVI to divx or MPEG2.
