I want to make 2 dvds from set of Vob files that have 4 one hour episodes......
Video_ts
Vob 01_00/01 - Main menu
vob 02_00/01/02 - first epidode
vob 03_00/01/02 - second episode
vob 04_00/01/02 - third episode
vob 05_00/01/02 - fourth episode

I can split with all the episodes contained in one long Vob file but
How do I split this?
Is it possibe to just delete two of the vob files ,say 3 & 4 ,so the size is under 4.7 and edit the information contained in Video_ts.?

If so ...how?
:stupid: :stupid:

Yes you should be able to do this. There is a sticky
post:

Please search/read through the forum before asking a
question to make sure that it hasn't been asked yet.

Good Luck!

Thanks for looking.
With respect I've looked thru the forum and I can't find a thread that deals with how to do this.
I wouldn't post otherwise.
The thread you have highlighted tells you how to split when all the episodes are contained in one Vob set:not individual Vobs
I'm sure there is a simple way of editing the Vobs above...

The sticky post has been edited and the information regarding your question is no longer there. I have never tried splitting a DVD with 4 separate sets, but if I did, I would try ripping the entire DVD first, and then just deleting 2 of the sets on each DVD and not editing anything. Have you tried that?

Thanks for the reply,Snidely
I used DVD Decrypter and selected just the Video_ts files, main menu files and the episodes I wanted to keep...
...stone the crows it worked! :p

Now the bad news...
I tried a different DVD with a similar set of files and did the same thing but this time it didn't work!:(

I looked in the First Play PGC and it has 5 pre-commands.
Do you think I should edit these...?

:D If anyones interested I solved my problem by simply substituting blank Vobs in place of two of the episode Vob sets.
Do get Vts sectors...
Worked a treat...

How do you make a "blanc .vob"?
Sorry, I heard a lot about them, but I've never actually seen one... :D
