Here is something unrealistic.

I am using PixelView Pro PV-BT878+ FM card under Windows 2000. I have installed all the latest drivers and is working fine with the given PlayTV software.

Now when I try to use other softwares such as PowerPCR, WinDVR, etc I am getting huge noise in the audio signal. Why is it so? I think all the TV viewer capture softwares use the same drivers of Audio, video capture tuner, crossbar functions which are installed on the system. Why it is working with PixelView App but not with other apps. I have tried using the generic drivers from sourceforge also. same problem.

I tried this in XP also. same problem is coming. Anybody is having working set of drivers for this card to use with PowerVCR or WinDVR under 2000/XP?

Thankyou.

I've a card with TV-Card with BT878, too (Pinnacle). Most of the software, you descriped, have their own driver for the BT8x8 Chip. Only programs like VirtualDub use the WDM - driver. I don't have WinDVR/PowerPCR, so I can't really tell you, what is wrong. But I've had a similar problem with DScaler (Freeware TV Tuner Software). I've changed under Settings/Audio Input to Tuner (default was DSP/Radio). Probably WinDVR/PowerPCR have similar settings. If not, download DScaler (www.DScaler.com), install it and change the setting described bellow. If it works with DScaler, but not with WinDVR/PowerPCR, you know what is wrong.
P.S.: You have to select a tuner in DScaler. If your TV Standard is PAL, you have to select any PAL tuner, if it is NTCS, select any NTSC tuner. If you don't hear anything, open the Audio mixing and enable the Line-In Input

Thanks Mike.
The Problem is I can hear the the audio. But with lot off hissing sound. Are you sure that WinDVR and PowerVCR use their own drivers for BT848 cards?

I don't know, if WinDVR/PowerVCR have their own driver. But I have many programs, which have their uwn driver and I also have some, which use the WDM driver. In your case I really don't know, what could be wrong, sorry.
