I'm new so bear with me.

I ripped my matrix dvd using dvddecryptor in iso mode to a folder called matrix on a windows 2000 pro pc. Then I copied the matrix folder to my htpc which is running winxp home. I'm using Theatertek as my dvd player on the htpc. The htpc is very clean with a brand new ghosted image. I loaded deamon on the htpc and mounted the previously copied matrix iso file. Theatertek found the mounted image and began to play the movie. At certain point in the movie, Theartertek crashed and had to be restarted. I experimented and found that Theatertek will crash at the same point every time in the movie. There are several places that it will crash in the movie. I can check them by jumping to the offending scene from the menu.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

If There is other info. that will be useful in debugging my problem I'll be happy to supply it.

Thanks

Have you run scandisk or, even better, a native disk check- and repair tool (like dlgdiag from WD)?

I've recently had a file that choked every program I tried to access it with, even O&O Defrag. In the end, I found out it was a bad (but recoverable) sector on the HD.

No I haven't tried that. So you're saying maybe the matrix image on the htpc was copied to a bad part of the harddisk?

Thanks
