This is my problem:
when capturing from a VHS with more things recorded in (ex. music videos) a lot of capturing programs (iuVCR, ATI MMC, AVI_IO...) stop recording when they find a "hole" in the VHS (ex. between one video and the other):( . VirtualDub seems to be insensible to this problem, but I like to use iuVCR in WinXP  ...
Here's my cfg:
ATI AllInWonder AGP 32MB
AMD Thunderbird 1GH
256MB RAM
Quantum Fireball 20GH HD
WinXP, Win98
Thanks.

HEy there...I m using this iuVCR program a LOT but i ve never had any problem like the one u mention here.
My guess depending on a LOT of other problems i have in the past is
upgrade your graphic card's drivers,uninstall/reinstall iuVCR (Get the LATEST versin available on their site-there s a new 4.0.0230 version out now) and then restart just to be on the safe side...
Well,I hope this helped you...

a3ternus,
Is iuVCR tested on Windows XP?
I am facing problems with other software(WinDVR,PowerVCR) in XP.

Well, thanks but...
I'm already using the last version :( and the same problem appears both in Win98 and WinXP, so it isn't a driver problem :scared: ...

i am using latest iuvcr ver, it works fine, but i hv couple of problems while cap:
1. were u able to cap audio in mp3 on the fly???... when checked for mp3(lameacm, Fh) compression, the programs behaves erratically and i get some error code!!!! and the cap is stopped immediately.
2. while cap in huffyuv/pcm compression, there are some frame drops(40-50) instantly when i start capturing!!!!, but its not true with divx/pcm... it works very well without frame drops???... hv u comeacross the same????
