Hi,
I am using Scenarist and i get this error

Error Aspect Ratio<4:3(Pan Scan)> in this Track<VTS_04_PGC_04_1 - 0xE0 --> is different from the one<4:3> in VTS:<VTS_1> Title

When im trying to add a track into a title in Scenario editor. the track is a black blank screen but i think i need to leave it in. it only lasts about 1 sec. I know the problem is beacuse its pan scan and the rest of the files aren't but this file hasnt been encoded just ripped with dvd decrypter.

any ideas or work arounds to fix it

Maybe try Re-stream to redefine the headers of the file.

here (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/SupportUtils/ReStream_v083.rar)

Not sure if this would work, as I've never had that particular problem, but it's worth a try. Just choose 4:3 in the "aspect" field, then "write." Hopefully that'd take care of it. Or, I may be completely wrong, and in that case, the rest of you guys can freely put me in my place.

Ok,
I tried restream but got the same error.

I found a workaround by creating a 1 second black video in Premier, encoding it with CCE and using that instead. It worked fine and once imported back into main film it all works spot on :)

Thanks for your help

The reason is about DVD spec: any title set NEED the same aspect ratio for any movie, the same audio configuration adn the same subtitle configuration. In your exemple, one of your movie had 4:3 PAN-SCAN aspect, and the other only 4:3. I don't know this movie where come from, but if the movie is a your encoding there is some difference in encoding parameters.
