Can CCE work with a hardware encoder?

if so how? i have access to the hardware encoder from the DV storm if they can work together will it be faster or would it only be as fast as the harware encoder? this is prolly a crap topic.

thats from the Canopus Amber SDK (the mpeg module for DVStorm is basically a custom Amber daughtercard) so the possibility for multipass VBR with the encoder you mentioned is good. (the Amber doesnt allow under 4mbit, not sure if the DVStorm module is the same, but CCE can do under 4mbit easily and at a comparable speed to the Amber (from my tests).
