hi folks,
I've downloaded latest BeSweetGUI and unfortuantely I recognized that the option for Vorbis-quality settings (e.g. from 0,2 to 0,15) is missing. Therefore I switched to the OggMachine where I still can change the qualitysettings. I followed the OggMachine-Guide and set channels mode to surround2. I must admit that I've only got a 'normal' stereo reciever - but who knows what I will have in the future. I thought leaving the channel mode as it is shown to surround2 will give me a normal stereofile as long as I have a stereoreciever and will give me surroundeffects when having a DTS decoder ... BUT now I have some weird experiences. I have very good stereoeffects - top music, top everything - but I can't really hear any voices only when I sit in front of my speakers ;). So, what is recommended as long as I have a normal stereoreciever?? - surround2 obviously not, what about surround or stereo???
OK, but for now I have these surround2 encoded files. Is there a way (I believe there is ;) ) to reencode these files from surround2 to stereo? Loading the already encoded OggVorbisfile into BeSweet(GUI) again fails.
Thanks and cheers
