Ok ive got my main menu set to loop back to a certain point when the clip finishes, now i go to say the chapters menu, then i want to go back to the main menu, how do i do it so it goes to when the loop point is set, instead of playing the whole thing?

Very good point. I don't think you can, and it's a pain in the ass. The only way I have to get around it is to use buttons over video and make your loop point a chapter point (edit marker, tick 'buttons over video'). Then you can jump back from your chapter selection menu straight to the loop point.

The only problem is that, as far as I know, you can't specify a particular button to be highlighted using buttons over video. Perhaps a command sequence setting a SPRM? I've never got that working but haven't really given it much attention.

The only other alternative is to have the main menu on there twice, once with just your loop, the other as per normal.

Yep just duplicate your menu with the Duplicate Menu/Connections option and add your shortened menu to the duplicated menu and set up your connections so that the Full menu is played initially and the shortened menu is used from there on in.

I know this is a dirty workaround but it works quite nicely and I've not had cause to figure out the 'Proper way to do it'.
