View Full Version : Successfully ripped first time through. Need help repeating the process

Trying to find a steady procedure to use in ripping movies. I'm wanting to just keep one audio stream and one subtitle stream (keeping the menu being a bonus, if not too difficult). By using the guide at:
http://mpucoder.dynodns.net/derrow/strip.html
I successfully ripped and burned 13 Ghosts with the 5.1 audio stream and subtitles, while keeping the original menu in tact. Since then, I've tried to repeat that same process and produce the same results, and have not been able to do it (for some reason). I've gone through that same procedure over and over, trying different things out, and just can't get it to burn. The problem is in the IFO file, I believe. When trying to burn it in Nero as a DVD Video(version 5.5.90), it'll give me the error message "File is not DVD file format". When trying to burn in UDF/ISO mode, it will burn. When playing it, it will see the first scene (right before the menu comes up). But when it's time for the menu, it'll give an invalid disk error. So I'm definitely thinking it's the IFO. I thought it might be Nero causing a problem in the burn process, so I tried Prassi PrimoDVD. Before patching it, it wouldn't recognize my DVD drive. After updating the PX engine, the program won't start up at all (gives me a run-time error and shuts down).

Does anyone have any suggestions? The menu is really not that important to me, but I'd like to be able to have 1 or 2 audio streams and 1 subtitle stream.
