how to manually decrease or increase the bitrate of specific scene for the 2nd pass? cannot find the old doom9 guide where it was described.

can it be done via Stats File Editor-Manual correction?

Hi-

Yep-you're on the right track-although it only works with DivX 3.11 or Xvid if you use the GKnot generated stats file for the second pass.

In the Selection box over on the left side use [ and ] to choose the first and last frame for the scene. Then in the Manual Correction box just to the right choose the Weight (120%?) and hit Push.

One thing though-do all of your other stats file stuff and hit Calculate before giving that scene more bits. After hitting Push, don't Calculate again-just Save.

thx manono :)

do I need to generate also ECF for the 2nd pass? or the stat file is enough if I haven't touched KFs?

Hi ohliuv-

I don't think I know the answer to that question. I always change the keyframe intervals, so I always save and use the ECF. I don't think that it will hurt anything if you save and use the ECF.
