Hey guys!

I'm going crazy with my Asus V6600Deluxe. I use winxp here, and tried to install the wdm drivers version 1.16. Here are my results:

Well, first thing that happened was that with the wdm drivers i can't change between NTSC and PAL. Since I need PAL-M, i changed the VideoStandart setting in the registry (i read something about this at this forum) from NTSC to PAL. The result was that the framesize increased from 720x480 to 720x576 (ok) but with no colors! (just grayscale). Since my VCR only outputs PAL, i need something to change this input data, not that only correct the aspect ratio, but also the color. I tried all Asus softwares (Asus live, Asus VCR, they are like s**t).
The other question i have is: is there a way to completelly remove this wdm codec from my machine (including the registry entries, files, infs and everything) to start all over from the beginning with your help? I need this because i tried to set the registry values back to NTSC and then my vdub says that the wdm capture drive is already in use.

thanks,
jaypee.

I did not see anyone reply, I am having a similar issue. I have an Asus 6600 that I pulled out of the junk pile to stick in a box to use as a video recorder to get those shows I miss. I have installed the nvidia wdm drivers and a whole slew of programs trying to get something to work and have had no luck. What did you finally do?
Cheers
Greg

After spending some 8 or so hours trying to get it to work, I tossed it. That computer has one job-to record. Fresh XP and one requirement, so it should have been happy. I went and bought a WinTV 250 thing and stuck it into the computer. Seems to work quite well. That Asus card is going back where I got it from-to the junk pile.
