Hi,
Just a small question:
which is the best program to rip a DVD that needs to be used by DVD2SVCD afterwards?
The problem is that I use 2 pc's, 1 to rip and another (that isn't mine) to convert them.
Thanks in advance.

Use the same program for both.

U should use DVD2SVCD to rip the DVD's. If u use another ripper u might get sync problems.

I use DVD2SVCD to rip the DVD to the hard drive, remove the DVD and then encode the files previously ripped to the hard drive. You will find the options on DVD2SVCD.
I would guess you can transfer these files to your other machine and run DVD2SVCD on that machine for the encoding. Give it a try and let us know.

If you're on a network, then map a network drive (Windows Explorer>Tools) to the DVD drive on the other machine. Then just use DVD2SVCD's internal routines on that network drive, and it will work just fine. If you're not on a network, then get on a network, they're super cheap and super handy :)

offcourse... I can use DVD2SVCD to rip, what was I thinking  :o :D
Thanks so much for the help.
The network idea is great, the only problem is that the other pc is in another village... so far the network:)
But since my dad is gonna upgrade his pc soon I will surely keep this in mind.

So if the answer had been different, "here is program X" that can do what you want, how in heavens name would it have helped if the other PC is in another village? Help me here, I am a little confused why you even asked??????
Thanks so much for the help.

The point is, his problem is fixed. We don't need an argument, just let it be.

Just a little background info for the curious ones ;)
The thing is I have 2 rips on my HD but my PC is a celeron 466 which is not supported by CCE, that's why I transport my HD from one PC to the other to convert.
Since I'm running out of space I need to convert them (no space, no more rips) and I can't wait till next month:D
Again, thanks for all the help.
