Can anyone name me about ten really good examples of ac3 surroundsound? What I want is the movie title and the chapter.
I'am trying to make a demo disc for work,so when I install a dvd with a Dolby Digital amp I can show them it working at its best.Because they often say "THERE'S NOTHING COMING OUT OF THE BACK SPEAKERS".
It would have simple menu so you could choose which clip you wanted.
Before ac3 and DTS, when there was only Dolby Surround we use to use Topgun and Speed on vhs.

Flash,

One of the best, has to be "Saving Private Ryan", I guess it's chapter2 beacuase it's the first 15 minutes of the movie, as they storm the beach.

Just about the best movie I've watched in terms of the sound effects. Just watch out as those bullets wizzzzzzz by !!!!

Definetly Saving Private Ryan, the Omaha beach landing scene.
It has the added bonus that i'm starring in the lead role there :-)

My vote is for "Deep Inside Raquel Darrian" I don't think it has an AC3 track, and I don't care. X-Men has an awesome AC3 track, but no Raquel Darrian.

the dolby digital amp should have a white noise test tone, but if you want to create one yourself, play a tone in each channel after each other (in separate menus if you want), or if you have access to a 5.1 mixing program (ie www.nuendo.com) create a noise and make it circle the room a few times (and fart into the sub).

Well I don't know about the DVD, but I recall that Batman 2 had an AWESOME soundtrack in the Cinema, and I see no reason why this should not have been brought into the DVD pressing. Just a pity the film itself is such a load of rubbish! :p

And I'd just like to second the "Outbreak" vote - the helicopter chase scene is pretty cool. Terminator2 ain't bad either...

Batman and Batman 2 were let down by the wrong casting of Beetlejuice as Batman/Bruce Wayne

PS: BTW, if noone is supposed to know that Batman == Bruce Wayne, why does Batman drive around in Bruce's limo in the recent cartoon series?

Jurassic Park 3 has a good aeroplane fly over, it's just after William H Macy asks Sam Neil to be their guide (v. poor film apart from that fly over).

I'm sure The Rock will have some good bits in.

Braveheart: Any of the battle scenes

'Way of the Gun', scene where benico del toro is behind you to the right on a hill and fires a sniper rifle to your front left. You hear the bullet all the way, scares you silly!
