Real quick. How would you go about cropping an svcd. By cropping I mean lowering the black bars to make the wide scren thinner. I have an svcd with a blue line on the bottom and I want to get rid of it. Thanks to anyone who replies.

I'm not really an expert, but I though I would give you a reply.

If you crop it you'll have to re-encode it, which would be a bad idea. Since your probably re-encoding a re-encode of the original encode (aka the dvd).

Still, if you wanted to, you could demux the streams into audio and .mpv with TMPG. Open the .mpv with dvd2avi and create an .d2v project file. Then process the file just like you would a DVD .d2v, using one of doom's SVCD guides. This would include cropping the picure, however you shouldn't have to resize, since the original is already in SVCD format, just crop and add boarders. You might want to throw in some noise reduction, depending on how low a bitrate was used on the original SVCD. Re-encode with CCE or TMPG and remux the original audio with your re-encoded .mpv file.
