@ DVD2SVCD - Would it be easy for you to add a spot in the encoder tab for TMPEG to load your own templates for TMPEG to use?

Why? What settings is missing in DVD2SVCD?

Well, some things like - Yuv format, VBV buffer (Now in your new version), P and B picture spoilage,... But really that's not what I'm after. When testing, Instead of going through all the settings everytime changing something manually and needing to double check, it would be nice to load already made templates. Since DVD2SVCD is a great all-in-one program for the many people that just go with the defaults and are happy with what they get, but for thoes of us that like to test the crap out of this thing, it kind of defeats the purpose when you need to modify so many options for testing. I guess that's why you added the Advanced and normal feature. My request could also go in the Advanced options to.
Hope I didn't confuse the issue.
Thanks

Can't you just save/load dvd2svcd ini files ?

True, I could create a bunch of ini files, but since there are a bunch of templates for TPMEG which state their function already- i.e. Fit movie on One CD, blah, blah, blah, that are readily available on the web for download it would be that much easier.
Thanks

Ahh, but you see, it would make my life much more difficult. I don't see it in the near future, sorry :(

DVD2SVCD,
Perhaps you could add an option to "Pause TMPG on Startup" that might give holomatrix a way to access his templates as well as provide access to all those TMPG filters. It would let me change the default DVD2SVCD choice of progressive source to interlaced and select "2pass" vs the default "old 2pass" encoding (I don't know if there's any difference.)

Edited Portion follows:
Holomatrix,
Have you seen this recent post? http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30481
He creates a small batch file to automatically load the Tmpg template through a previoulsy created .tpr file.

One look at the quality/compression you get from these templates and you can see why:D

Try some with your standalone and compare them to your best custom tweaked settings you have been using.
