View Full Version : AC3 files won't import into ReelDVD

The docs for ReelDVD 2.5.1 say that they support 5.1 AC3 files, but everytime I try to import them, they are rejected because "the file format is not supported" or ""AC3 Audio "MI-2 AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY 18ms.ac3""'s resolution or drop type does not match with the existing data."

I've tried several AC3 files, all of which were created by DVD2AVI.

Anyone out there using ReelDVD and having this problem, or know anything about it?

BTW, Scenarist (which I understand has a lot of guts in common with ReelDVD) accepts these files just fine.

Perhaps Scenarist and ReelDVD can't exist on the same system at the same time (seems kind of unlikely)?

In case anyone else has this problem, I got it to work by naming the m2v file and the ac3 file with the SAME NAME, as in:

testclip.m2v
testclip.ac3

interesting...

Thanks to the idea given to me by the thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27578&highlight=reeldvd) talking about spruceup--just happened to be the same thing with ReelDVD.
