Anyone know how to do it? Sonic DVDit PE will only support 48Khz WAV files, but I don't want to resample my soundtrack which is 44.1KHz WAV's taken off CD.

A .PCM audio file is a .WAV file without the header. Load the .PCM file into COOL EDIT and just "SAVE AS" and select .WAV. Couldn't be easier.

Maybe the subject is a typo? Do you really mean 44.1 to 48? If so, there is no magic way to do it without some processing. There are too many audio editors and utilities which can do this to even mention. Even VirtualDub can do this.

No, it's not a typo, I mean exactly what I wrote. My soundtrack in Premiere is all 44.1Khz taken off CD, so it seems crazy to have to resample to 48Khz just so I can put it on a DVD.

slk001, I am trying to go from WAV to PCM, no the other way around. I've just looked and Wavelab, presumably similar to Cool Edit, cannot do it. Could I take the header off in Wordpad???? Or do DVD authoring packages other than DVDit support a 44.1KHz WAV input?

I am of course assuming that 44.1KHz PCM is supported on DVD. I have read that but maybe it's not true.

44.1kHz sampling rate is NOT supported in the DVD specifications. I just read (closely) your SUBJECT LINE, and saw 44.1 -> 44.1. Cool Edit will do what you need to do with relatively ease. Also, PCM > WAV > PCM is easilty accomplished.

DVD specifications do not accept 44.1 mhz !!! Must be changed to 48 mhz with any of the following formats: MP2, LPCM, or AC3.
