what format is best for webcam/broadcasting to http

Hi.

1. Hope this is the right place to post as i will be capturing/broadcasting from analouge webcam :)

2. I wanna know what format that is best especially at lower bitrates, both audio vand video( is there anyway i can use divx 5 whit B-frames, like a 30sec delay or buffer).

3. Can any1 give me some info about some prog for the server(sending out the data and mayby a prog that will help me set upp a webcam windov on my homesite or any1 can tell me what code to add?

4. Any adwice help will be greatly apreciated

Hi again.

1.Did manage to find a prog to stream(but its windows media encoder 7.1 free but sucý quality, to bad no1 can recomend a better1)

2. Think I know what code to add.

3. New problem. I hope any1 can answer this1 always thought there was alot of really smart and well educated ppl in this forum(plz dont let me down ;) )

My Bandwhit upp is only 512Kbit so if i stream at 256 I can only let 2 ppl wiev my webbcam at the same time right?

I was hoping there was anyway you could use a prog to stream and buffer (upload) a 5-10 mbyte file on my server(wich got unlimited bandwith). then use my servers bandwith to stream it to other ppl letting more watch it in 1 time. Do any1 know thnink there is anyway to fix this? or do I have to just use a lame webcamera function who updates a *.jpg every 30s instead.

(maybe 1 of you godlike free programers outhere know a easyway to write a prog who can do this?)

I think the free RM9 preview (fully functional, but only commandline) also includes options for live-streaming. I don't know how to set it up though.

Has actually thought about it but havent found any where to D/L realmedia.

thnx alot D/l now and will test later. Sems to offer good quality now my only problem left is the bandwith.
