Encoding VOB files

I've been succesful in stripping the movie only from DVD's then reencoding the VOB so the movie will fit on a DVD. What I'd like to do is not strip the menu & extras so they would be on my burned DVD. I was thinking about reencoding the VOB's and keeping all of the other files then burn it all to a disk. Will this work?

Sure, that's what most of Doom's guides tell you how to do. It's not exactly a "point and click" process quite yet though, so you definately have some reading in store...
